NextGen Analysis Group
An entire human genome can now be sequenced in a matter of days, effectively making the capacity of a major genome center available to individual researchers. Many scientific groups need assistance of bioinformatics experts and IT specialists in analyzing, organizing, processing, transferring, storing, and archiving massive amounts of data Next Generation sequencing machines produce.
The mission of ABCC’s Next Generation Sequencing group is to serve NCI community to provide a centralized infrastructure consisting of enterprise data storage, back‐up, and recovery, shared access to high‐performance computing cluster, bioinformatics support for individual and collaborative research. We provide evaluation, testing, recommendations, data analysis and assistance to NCI researchers on Next Gen software applications, as well as in developing extensions, interfaces, and custom workflows and novel bioinformatics approaches, to improve research productivity
